CAN Capital, the leading player in alternative small business finance, announced today the appointment of Aman Verjee as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Verjee will lead the finance and accounting teams as CAN Capital continues its rapid growth in the category. He will be based at the company’s New York headquarters, reporting to Daniel DeMeo, Chief Executive Officer of CAN Capital.
We’re excited to have a leader such as Aman joining our team, said Daniel DeMeo, Chief Executive Officer. Aman has successfully led finance teams at high-growth, entrepreneurial companies like ours. He has a substantial background in corporate finance and experience in the digital marketplace, which is especially important to our strategy.
Verjee comes to CAN Capital with 15 years of experience in a broad range of industries, including digital advertising, ecommerce, consumer electronics, and financial technology. Most recently, he was the CFO of Collective, Inc., a leading advertising technology platform that uses big data science to connect brands to their audiences with high-impact experiences. Prior to that, he was the CFO at Sonos, which builds wireless sound systems.
Verjee spent six years at PayPal, in a variety of finance roles overseeing financial planning and analysis, customer analytics and strategy, and helping to build the company from its earliest stages into a leader in payment processing and financial services. He also served as the CFO for eBay Marketplaces, North America, where he managed the company’s strategy, product analytics, marketing analytics, and finance teams. Earlier in his career he held positions at Lehman Brothers and McKinsey & Company.
I am glad to be joining CAN Capital at an exciting time in its growth and development, said Verjee. CAN Capital is breaking through with growth in its channels, offers, and technology. I’m looking forward to working with the leadership team to continue making capital available for small businesses.
