Ray De Palma is CAN Capital’s Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to joining CAN, Ray was the Chief Financial Officer of Stroz Friedberg, a global firm, specialized risk management. He was hired as the firm’s Controller in December 2010 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in October 2014. In these roles, he was responsible for the firm’s global finance operations, including accounting and financial reporting, tax planning and compliance, treasury, corporate development, and strategic planning. During his tenure, the firm successfully completed five acquisitions and expanded into three countries, increasing global revenues by over 100%, and resulting in the firm’s successful sale in October 2016.
Previously, Ray was an assurance senior manager at EY, where he served both publicly-owned and private-equity portfolio companies with global presence, resolving complex accounting, auditing, and SEC reporting issues. In addition, he assisted his clients through numerous acquisitions and divestitures, three initial public equity offerings and several public and private debt offerings.
Ray graduated with honors from Montclair State University with a BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the AICPA and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.
